What can I expect at
your classes? |
Expect to have a great time as you learn all the basics in a systematic way that's easy to understand and remember. All classes utilize a Power Point slide presentation and will feature real-time cooking demonstrations (see note), a Q&A session, plus class notes or worksheets. |
|
Is there hands on cooking? |
Due to time and space constraints, hands-on cooking is not available - but you will get to EAT everything made in class! Note: "Cook for a Day" is the only class that does not include any food preparation or tasting, but realistic visual aids and a couple interactive techniques are included. |
|
What is an E-Book? |
E-books (electronic books) are emailed to you as an attachment
that you can either store and view on your computer
or print off to be stored in a 3-ring binder.
It is very important that you specify your
e-mail address when ordering an E-book. |
|
Why are there so many different prices for the same class? |
Each school district has its own fee schedule for the classes it offers, so I have little, if any, input into the amount that is charged. Larger school districts tend to have higher costs associated with providing classes, in terms of building staff, facilities & equipment, printing & mailing of course catalogs, etc. The classes I teach are exactly the same at each location, regardless of the registration fee. |
|
How are items shipped and when can I expect my order to arrive? |
All "in-stock" items are shipped directly from me to you via US Mail Parcel Post or
Media Mail, with a delivery time of 2-9 business days. All Bosch mixers, mills, and attachments are drop-shipped
from Bosch's Nebraska office, via UPS Ground, with a delivery time of 4-9 business days. |
|
How are shipping fees calculated? |
All shipping quotes are estimates only, and could go up OR down,
depending on items ordered. My goal is to keep shipping costs as
low as possible, covering the actual cost of delivery + packaging
only, with no extra handling fees. Shipping for in-stock items
(excluding books and ebooks) is based on the total cost of items:
up to $25 = $6 shipping
$25.01 - $75 = $10 shipping
$75 & up = $15 shipping
Books only - $2.50 (up to 2 copies can be mailed at this rate)
E-books - no shipping charges apply
Some Bosch machines and attachments require
additional shipping fees, while
some include free shipping. Occasionally, due to a certain combination
of books,
in-stock items, and/or drop-shipped items ordered, you may be
overcharged for shipping by the shopping cart. I always
double-check
this and will refund any amount above the actual cost.
You may (rarely) be billed for additional shipping charges if
required, before your order can ship. |

Who can pick up items, to avoid shipping costs? |
Since I live 45 minutes northeast of Liberty, few people can benefit by
picking up items at my home!
This option is intended for those whom I see on a regular
basis, or for former class attendees who notify they will drop by
a future scheduled class. Occasionally, I
make arrangements to meet elsewhere "in town" but I
cannot make deliveries. Unless you've placed an order this way
before, you should probably e-mail me first. |

Do Bosch machines ever
go on sale? Can I get a discount if I attend
a class or buy both machines at once? |
The Bosch Co.
usually offers a sale or special offer on mixers and/or mills twice a year: around Mother's Day and again at Christmas. This is often a "free gift with purchase," but occasionally can be a set dollar amount off the price of a mixer + mill when purchased at the same time. As an authorized Bosch dealer, I am required to sell all Bosch products according to their pricing policy, which means that I can never go below their Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP price). The MAP price exists so that dealers cannot undercut one another and create unfair competition. The MAP price is the lowest price that you can ever pay for a Bosch machine, and still receive factory service or repair under warranty (should your machine ever require service under warranty, you must show proof of purchase from an authorized dealer, or your warranty is void). While many dealers set their prices somewhere between retail (maximum) and MAP (minimum), I always sell at the MAP price, so you can rest assured that you are getting the best possible deal! For this reason, I cannot offer any extra discount when you attend a class or when you purchase both machines at once (except during the Mother's Day or Christmas sales when Bosch temporarily lowers their MAP prices.) |

I've cooked for a long time, and do some of the things you suggest, but have never really had a system. I've already started going through my freezer, taking inventory, and even re-packaging so I can get started on the fun part - cooking! Thanks again." Kris H. North Kansas City, MO

I took one of your bread classes several months ago...to see if I wanted to start to make bread. Well I did decide to...and it is fun and turning out good, using your "secret". I am enjoying it and plan to take another class in may to be able to do even more. Cheryl B.
